Built in 1582 and set in the lovely Waterlow Park, Lauderdale House is a Grade 2* listed building and has been hosting weddings and parties for 25 years. Its special location and historic atmosphere ensure a memorable event. Lauderdale House is a community arts centre, running classes and other activities for adults and children during the day and some early evenings.Lauderdale House is delighted to be part the Camden After Schools LEAP Project which runs creative after schools classes with chidlren across Camden. On Thursday 11 March we were delighted to be part of the launch of a 3 year exhibition of the work produced, which was also attended by Anthony Gormley and the Mayor of Camden. Next time you're in Camden High Street around the lock and market look up at the lamp-posts to spot brightly coloured screen printed banners made by children taking part. Our annual Schools Programme continues apace and throughout the term we've got classes from local primary schools coming up to the House and Park. At the moment they're planting hazel trees, willow trees and wild primroses in conjunction with Camden Council's conservation team. They'll also be creating wonderful and exotic art works to decorate the tree later in the Summer, all of which will culminate in our annual exhibition in the House and Park
