The local history museum for the London Boroughs of Ealing and Hounslow, housed in a Grade II* listed mansion. Local history of West London, including archaeology, costume, toys, the Rothschild carriages, a hansom cab, a Stanhope printing press, laundry equipment, Victorian kitchen wares, photographs, prints and a range of locally made products, including Hoovers. Gunnersbury Park and Museum is housed in an early 19th century mansion, once home to the Rothschild family. Displays are shown in the ground floor state rooms and include local history, costume, carriages and temporary exhibitions. The Victorian kitchens are open to the public summer weekends only. The museum is surrounded by extensive parkland set with historic buildings such as the 18th century Temple, with its formal Italian garden and round boating lake, the gothic Bath House and the Orangery.
